Healthy Prune and Apricot Jam

January 29, 2016 by Sara 8 Comments

Healthy Prune and Apricot Jam - 2 Minute Recipe (Raw!)

This homemade jam has no added sugar or sweeteners, the fruit says it all and it takes one minute to make with no cooking required. Added to this it is a sure fire way to keep your digestion working like clockwork!

The recipe is very simple, just 3 ingredients, although you do require a food processor. In the Summer it’s always lovely to use the fresh seasonal fruit and berries to make jam (see my No Sugar Jam recipe) but as the ingredients are soft dried you can make this jam at any time of the year.

How to make Prune and Apricot Jam

Take one bag of organic soft dried apricots, one bag of organic semi dried prunes and the juice of half an organic lemon.

Add the ingredients to the food processor and give it a blast.

Scrape the contents into a sterilised jar.

Thats it.  I said it was simple.

Serve it on toast or use as a natural fruity sweetener in cakes and desserts.

This jam lasts at least a couple of months in the fridge, although I always do refrigerate my homemade jams and spreads as they are preservative free.
