Eyelashes can sometimes take a bit of a battering from constant mascara use but this easy serum gives you DIY Beautiful Lush Lashes in not time at all.

DIY beautiful lush lashes with 3 organic ingredients

The success of this simple recipe lies in the quality of the ingredients that you use, so it’s really worth sourcing organic cold pressed caster oil, pure aloe vera gel and 100% lavender essential oil. ย Although it may seem a bit extravagant at first, these basic ingredients can be used for so many different beauty recipes that you will find them an essential part of your beauty/healthcare staples.

Castor oil has extraordinary powers of renewal so it wonderful for skin, nails and hair growth, it’s anti bacterial too so it fights off any infection and keeps everything in tip top condition. The essential lavender oil is famously soothing and calming but also has great anti-bacterial and healing powers.

The benefits of aloe vera are well known for treatment of sunburn, and it’s these soothing and healing properties that are so useful for keeping a fresh, even complexion. It also has the multi tasking abilities of both moisturising and toning at the same time, delivering a potent dose of antioxidants with a natural source of vitamins C, E, betacarotene, minerals and amino acids.

The quantities for mixing the serum are simple: Half castor oil to aloe vera and then add 6 – 12 drops of lavender depending on the size of the bottle you use. An old essential oil bottle is perfect, and you can apply it with a thoroughly clean mascara brush or any other fine make up brush will do. A little goes a long way and it lasts for ages. Be sure to use it every night before you go to bed and happily it’s a an effective anti-wrinkle eye treatment too, so not only will your lashes be lush and beautiful but it will also keep the wrinkles at bay!

    Hi there…
I’m from Denmark and I want to use your recipe, but can you give me some more exact measuring, please…?
Is it half and half and then 6-12 drops of lavenderoil…?

Thanks a lot for your good ideas ๐Ÿ™‚

      Hi there ๐Ÿ™‚
It depends on the size of the small bottle you use. For a 10ml essential oil bottle add 6 -8 drops of lavender oil, but if your bottle is 20ml then add 10-12 drops. It’s very pure and gentle and extremely nourishing for your lashes, also good for holding back the wrinkles!

I’m going to have to try this. My husband and both my girls have incredibly long lashes but of course the one person that would even care about long lashes (namely me) doesn’t have them. Thanks for the tip!!!

So much better than the shop bought versions – no nasty chemicals and a tiny fraction of the price!
